Social Responsibility
Integral’s Directors and employees alike understand that as a corporate entity we have a duty of care to society at large. We aim to be as carbon friendly and neutral as possible and encourage our staff to walk, cycle or car share where and whenever possible. We have recently adopted a bike loan scheme for all of our employees (including our company Directors) to help our employees keep fit and reduce the need to use other forms of transport, which ultimately harms our environment. Integral work out of three locations - the City of London, Mortlake and Canterbury. Our Canterbury based offices are set amongst 500 acres of green parkland and conform to the BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) standards, making a firm commitment to the region’s environmental economic stability.

Furthermore, we are a company that is committed to supporting charitable organisations and work closely with one of our chosen charities, Kids Taskforce. Kids Taskforce aims to set a national standard of safety education in schools and to ensure that every child in Britain receives that information. Integral support Kids Taskforce as, we too, believe that children have the right to know how they can keep themselves safe and who in the community can help them.
Using the missdorothy.com Primary school and Watch Over Me Secondary school programmes,
Kids Taskforce aims to deliver vital safety messages through characters that young people
can engage and identify with. Both programmes are delivered by the class teacher,
supported by outside agencies such as the police, fire service and football coaches.
For further information about Kids Taskforce, please visit their site www.kidstaskforce.com, or alternatively watch this video:
In addition to the support we give to Kids Taskforce, we also encourage all of our employees to support at least one charity a year, a charity that is chosen by the employee. This could involve anything from floating down the Thames on an inner tube (as our Director Jonathan Palmer did on his 40th birthday – go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNWmnP2jU0w to view the video), walking, running and cycling events - to sky diving and even climbing Mount Kilimanjaro (our marketing co-ordinator, Phoebe Armstrong, will be undertaking two of these challenges in 2011 in aid of Help for Heroes – go to http://h4h3blondes.wordpress.com for further information on these daring challenges).
Paul Oliver and Jonathan Palmer (senior Directors and shareholders) are also members of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists (WCIT), and have supported the WCIT's work through both sponsorship and donations to help build an ICT Academy for 11 to 18 year olds. The academy, based in Hammersmith, opens in the Summer of 2011.
Over the past three years Integral’s employees have helped to raise more than £20,000. Integral itself holds and supports various fund raising events throughout the year. If you would like to learn more about the events we support and sponsor, please email us at charity@integralservices.info.
