The savings slide bar can be used to set the saving rate for each print but no special user operation is required.

  • Saving rate can be set for each print.
  • Saving rate can be set from 0% to 50% in steps of 1%.
  • User saving rate can be enforced by disabling the slide bar.


Administration

Managing TONERmiser couldn’t be easier. Policies are administered centrally and applied instantly. No database installation is required; just a central folder location for log files to be stored. No change to the Active Directory schema is required.

  • Silent Installation by MSI package is available
  • Administrators can change user settings by updating XML files


Group policy Logon/Logoff Scripts or any other general tools can be used for distribution of .msi installer files and .xml settings files.


Implementation

Once TONERmiser has been through your internal testing process it can be rolled out in a matter of minutes. For multiple client installs, the driver needs to be installed on client workstations and print servers in your environment, with a central server required for administration. Due to the architecture of the product it is unlikely that more than one server is required - even for very large enterprises.

TONERmiser uses algorithms covered by 11 international patents to preserve quality, even on a maximum toner optimisation setting. Some organisations have implemented TONERmiser with a 25% setting without users noticing. Quality is maintained through the preservation of edges and sensitive graphical components such as thin lines.
